In this workshop the participants will be introduced to a successful and inventive combination of two intensive protocols with a complex child in a pre-adoptive foster home. In this case review, the presenters will discuss the decision for treating a complex RAD child with this protocol, advocacy with the Department of Human Resources, pre and post outcome assessments, and the components that will encourage others to consider duplication of the design.
Participants will: 1) Be able to identify the basic principles involved in both Neurofeedback and Attachment Therapy Intensives; 2) Be able to identify and reproduce the criteria for a successful combination of the two interventions; and 3) Have a better understanding of the need for brain based therapy to produce evidence based interventions.
