A model of therapeutic foster care and attachment therapy will be presented, to prepare foster/adoptive children for permanency in a family. Outcomes on three separate studies will chow success between 82-85%. The Denver County projects will be presented: getting kids ready for a family, kids with a current foster family experiencing severe behaviors, and preventing disruption in adoptive homes.
Participants will: 1) Learn the developmental theory behind the model; 2) Learn a unique developmental model of treatment for permanency in a family; 3) Review outcome data of success; 4) Learn the Denver County model for permanency for "hard to place" foster children.
